I'm so sorry. I can't even imagine. I've never had a friend pass away (thank goodness) -- it makes me so sad when people die young. Now that I'm a parent, I also think about how absolutely devastating it must be to have your child pass before you. I don't know Kim, but I'll say a prayer for her and her family. Oh, wow.
