Searching for the Wagon

Alright, after all of the whining on a previous post and general dissatisfaction, my friend Marci has convinced me to join her back on the Weight Watchers point-counting bandwagon.  I never cancelled my membership from earlier this year, I’ll hit the grocery store tonight, and I’ll weigh in and start counting my points tomorrow.

Me being me, of course, I was thinking about blogging it.  Anyone want to join in on a group weight loss blog with me?  It can be any (healthy) method you choose, but I know peer pressure social support is always helpful.  Leave a comment or drop me an email (goddessinprogress . blog @ gmail . com) and we can discuss details…

I’m in! I’m in! I won’t be doing weight watchers, but I’m committing to exercising five times a week and counting calories while also making sure I consume the appropriate amount of fruit, veggies, whole grain, lean protein, calcium, etc… Let me know the details!

I’m in! I am signing up momentarily for WW (breast feeding friendly version)

Hooray! And I’m in on the group blogging… couldn’t do my own blog, but I think I can handle a group blog.

Oh. I should be in…. *sigh*

I was actually going to ping the MMOTA group to see if anyone wanted to start up a meeting with me. Don’t they give group discounts? (I know a rep came to my workplace a few years ago…that was cool – and convenient).

Let me “think on it” ;)

Weight Watchers is great! I lost 50 lbs. a few years ago and kept it off until the 75+ pregnancy lbs. arrived. (I didn’t “count”–I used the Core plan, which I think is what they still call it. I also went to the meetings, and never really looked online.) I don’t still go to meetings, but I’ve been using everything I’ve learned, which combined with breastfeeding has helped me lose a big chunk of the baby weight.
Stick with it, it really works. (If you ever watch “I Lost It!” on the Discovery Health Channel, at least half of them used WW.)

Yay!!! Way to go for deciding to get back on the bandwagon. I like that you’ll be doing the group blog, too — I definitely agree that peer pressure is really helpful. Being part of my online moms group’s weight loss points challenge has really helped me eat healthy. Even though I’m not trying to drop pounds, I tend to stray toward too much snacking. I will be inspired by reading your group blog!
