Another sign that our long, hard winter is finally behind us: the BOB came out of the garage today. Oh, hooray!
It was still a little cool and windy this morning, truth be told. But I was determined to return to the trails at our local pond, which we haven’t seen in months. Thankfully, we got out of the wind and had a great time. Daniel liked climbing on the benches, and loved watching the geese and swans in the water.
Rebecca preferred to walk the dog. If only she was old enough that I could send her out on that errand every morning! And the dog, though she can sometimes drive me nuts, seemed to actually realize that it was Rebecca on the other end of the leash and didn’t pull too hard. That, or Rebecca has her calm-assertive energy thing down pat.
A nice outing, even if our beloved BOB seems to have a flat tire. Even the dog was thrilled, after months of being left behind at home while we run off to our indoor activities. While the days of long walks with the kids quietly strapped into the stroller are now behind us, the new walks are fun in their own special way. Something I hope to repeat with greater frequency as the mornings continue to warm up. Hooray for Spring!

BTW – I am in love with the Dog Whisperer. I would totally have his short, mexican babies! And a million dogs to go with them. My sister met him and got him to sign a blown-up picture of my dog. It was the best present ever.
