Another great rainy day activity (if it’s not already in your repetoire) is the public library. Usually they have scheduled story times and other events for kids. We also just love going there and reading some books and picking out a few new ones to bring home each week.

Trying to entertain kids when they can’t go outside is absolutely the worst…here it is the &%@(*&^% heat. We are on day 12 of over 100 (not including heat index). I’m from California where it’s the odd day when you can’t go outside. I’m new to the trapped inside thing.

We, in desperation to save my sanity, purchased a Little Tykes inflateable jumper. We cringed a little over the price but it has paid for itself 100 times over already.

I still haven’t braved the movie thing yet. Congrats on that venture.

You are AMAZING and such a fun Mommy! Way to just go for it. Have to say,I felt badly for Rebecca who just wanted to watch the movie, movie, movie.
Hope you drank a deserved cocktail…in silence… once you got home to decompress from loud car ride.

Wow. I seriously bow down to to you. I am pretty adventerous (read glutton for punishment) and have taken my twins who are now 16 months to all kinds of places by myself but I shudder at the thought of a movie. We would never make it.

I also had no idea they had booster seats at movies. I will have to file that little nugget away in the event that we ever brave the theater. You know, when they are like teenagers.

My MIL is watching him this weekend, and is thinking of taking him to mass. We aren’t Catholic, and he always goes to nursery at our church…I am sure it will be a bit of a shock. Wish I was going to be there to hear him narrate Mass!

you are the WOMAN! i can not believe you did this on your own! we were just talkign the other night about the first time i took my two to the movies alone. they were a little older, and they are 13 months apart. anyway, you are an inspiration to moms everywhere….you should be proud of yourself!

I’ve been dying to go to a movie with the kids but had heard mixed reviews of Up. I’m thinking about checking out Ice Age 3 but of course Family Movie Night has to be original Ice Age to find out if they’d like it.
