Oh, this is just what I needed! Not pressure to start more projects or join new things, but encouragement to FINISH the things I’ve got going. Thank you, Jacquie!
The challenge goes from now until the end of May, roughly six weeks. Finishes are all our own choosing, as is our reward. So, here’s (the ambitious version of) my list:
- Baby Mia’s quilt
- Cobblestone quilt for my sister-in-law’s friend
- Bed quilt for my daughter
- Bed quilt for my son
- Pinwheel sampler quilt
- Keep up with my Bee blocks!
Huh. Five completed quilts in six weeks. OK, so maybe that’s too ambitious, but at least it’s a goal, right? They’re all things that are either in progress, or planned out and fabric at the ready, so I should be able to make substantial progress.
As for my reward…. hmm…
Honestly, I don’t need an extra reward. Those finishes would be an enormous reward in and of themselves. I already have my rocking new sewing machine, and the last thing I need is to reward myself with food. No, this one has an intrinsic reward, and I’m going to leave it at that.
What about you? Are you in?

Oh I really need to try to do this…I have a pile of partially done quilts starting at me right now!! Good luck to you! Hopefully I can get my stuff done too…I’m sure if I just tell my one and two year olds that I need to spend my days sewing they will let it happen…
I am definitely in, and I am like you – getting the quilts done or making progress at least is all the reward I want or need. My list isn’t as ambitious as yours and most of the projects are partially complete but hey, it’s a list!
Good luck with yours!!

Ooh I’d love to join you but with a stall to run for the next 3 weekends May will be half gone… having said that, a lining for a knitted bag (then I could sell it!), a bag for myself (have the fabric, etc and pattern), a raggy quilt for a belated birthday pressie, a raggy quilt for myself and two baby raggy receiving quilts by the end of May would be good a good achievement. Not to mention two teenage boy’s band commitments during the next few weeks. Good luck.

Way to go! I have a list….besides trying to organize my stash. Let me see now..list 2 more quilts that are complete; finish the quilt I am making with my granddaughter; complete the 3 quilts I have in the drawer and maybe I can see the end of May with these done. Hope to join you with my goals. Keep up the good work and inspiration.
