Right! So, after that last quilt, I had a nice amount of two prints leftover that I thought I’d share with you guys.
The turtle damask in navy and green (on the left) is just shy of a half yard – I believe it’s 14″ x WOF. The navy/green/teal scales (on the right) is a half yard cut. There’s even a nice little bit of selvedge for anyone who’s into that sort of thing.
To win? Just leave a comment on this post. Any comment will do, but if you’re desperate for something fun to say, tell me what your favorite sea creature is (real or legendary). For an extra entry, tweet about it or mention it on your blog, and leave an extra comment with the link to your tweet or post (please include me – @lizinprogress – on your tweets!).
Comments will close on Friday evening, and I promise I will get my pregnant self to the post office and have it off to you ASAP.
Good luck!
And, no, I haven’t decided exactly how to count this in my stash accounting for the year. Might have to have a separate heading for fabric given away, to keep myself honest…

Hmmmm favourite sea creature. I think that would have to be Sebastian the crab from the Little Mermaid. No, Dory! Basically any good kids- movie sea creature. Apart from Ariel herself. I feel the need to tie her hair up off her face.

I love hermit crabs! Reminds me of my childhood playing with them at the beach. We named them and everything (poor hermit crabs!)
I love water in every form. And I love big animals. So I prefer whales – the big ones
Thank you for this giveaway!

What gorgeous fabrics! I love the quilt you made with these. My favorite sea creature has always been the dolphin. They’re so smart and social!
My favorite sea creature woul have to be sea turtles. We were lucky enough to get close to them on our vacation to Hawaii. Thanks for the opportunity.
Favorite “sea creature” would have to be the Loch Ness Monster….real or not?….well, my Dad went to boarding school on the shores of Loch Ness and claimed to have seen it (twice)…
My favorite sea creature has to be the seahorse bc its the MALES that get pregnant and carry the babies. If only in the human race!
Cute fabric!!
Fun! Those fabrics are great. My favorite sea creature has to be mermaids (my daughter IS named Ariel after all – although named before the mermaid came along). o:)
Hey My Birthday is Friday.. so you know this could help ease the pain. Ha Ha.
And my favorite sea creature has to be.. sea otters. They’re so cute it hurts.
Awesome giveaway! I got back into quilting just in time to miss out on neptune being available, and I still kick myself ’cause I vividly remember seeing several prints on one of my first LQS forays. Of course it’s gone now…
What a great giveaway! I have always loved brightly colored fish, since I was a kid and we had a fish named Rainbow.
Thanks for a chance to win. I’ve been trying to round up a few pieces of this long out of print fabric because my mom bought me a quilt kit featuring Neptune fabrics not to long ago. It is actually a kit to make a very cool quilt that looks like life preservers to me, designed by Tula herself. Freshcuts by Heather Bailey is one of my other favorite lines that I’ve spent some time tracking down. My mom actually picked this up because the shop had subsititued Freshcuts for some of the Neptune prints they didn’t have. While I love both lines I just don’t get the combo. So I’m slowly tracking down a few pieces of Neptune to replace the Freshcuts so I can make this amazing looking quilt. Winning some would just be even better.
I love seahorses to the point that I’ve been debating a tattoo of one! Turtles are a very close second, though…

I know someone who really needs this fabric. It would make me so happy to be able to surprise her with it.
I was lucky enough to be snorkeling in the Caribbean last month, and I got to hang with a sea turtle for a good 20 minutes while s/he cruised around the bay. That was magic. I am also fascinated with coral. It’s alive, you know!
Thanks for the giveaway, Liz!

Girl!!!!! Seriously??!?!? You’re GIVING AWAY Neptune?
Wow. Uber generous. I would absolutely love to win these treasures.
I’m gonna sit here with my fingers and toes crossed until you announce that I’m the winner. : )
hmmm, I’ve always liked starfish. They are so…. symmetrical. And then again not symmetrical.
I love sea turtles! That’s why I want that fabric so much
Love that blue/green combo! Favorite sea creature…I like sea horses. They look like grumpy old men.
My favorite sea creature would probably be the octopus.
I love Neptune; it’s been my favorite for several months now. I have a quilt top done using that line, just waiting to sandwich it together after I finish the 2 quilts in front of it. I did not get the two pieces you have though.
Favorite sea critter? I think whales are really cool.
Beautiful colours! Thanks for sharing
Hi ,
Thanks for the giveaway – my favourite sea creature ever is Nemo from the Disney film!

I love to visit aquariums – the seahorses are my favorite!
Favorite sea creature… hmmm – not on the tip of my tongue (think, think, think…) do otters count? I love otters. There are sea otters, right?
Just Tweeted about your giveaway @birdie00000
I think the tiny seahorse … and the idea that we could ride them under the sea. They are so swirly curly. I love their shape. Oh, and the octopus, of course. How can you not love their brains and their beauty?
Fingers crossed for a win!
Those fabrics are georgeous! What a great giveaway!
I would have to say my favorite sea creatures would be sea otters. They’re just so stinkin’ cute and they have the whole puppy dog eyes going on (at least in the movies lol)
Again, great giveaway

As a kid, I fantasized about being a mermaid. Sometimes I was Ariel, sometimes I was her best friend, sometimes my mermaid imaginings were entirely unrelated to the Disney franchise.
These days, realism has kicked in, but I still love the ocean dwellers, and sometimes I think it wouldn’t be so bad to spend a day as a sea turtle. Or an orca. Or a manatee. Or a dolphin. Or a seahorse. Or a tiger shark. Or a manta ray. Or a beluga. Or a seal. Or, or, or… What was that about realism?
I cannot get enough of angler fish! My 5 year old is obsessed with them so I know more about angler fish than is probably normal!
I do like Nessie, the Loch Nest Monster… LOL, but I love Neptune.
I love that fabric. Favorite sea creature would have to be the sea turtles especially the ones in finding nemo. Oh, and I would pick up the fabric if for some reason I were to win. No need to mail.

Very manly prints! I love the zig zag quilt! I am almost done squaring my HST’s, so I guess my next step is figuring out how I want to sew them together! I don’t think I’ll do a zigzag this time around, but soon!
I always loved the idea of Selkies.
Mmmm… Neptune. I have some saved up to make a quilt, this would fit in that pile nicely
My favorite sea creature? I love sea turtles, swimming with them in Hawaii was amazing. I love anything about the sea, our house is all decked out like a beach house… even though we don’t live at the beach.
