Whew! *knock on wood*, it appears to have been a short-lived phenomenon. I definitely heard Daniel around 4:45-5:00 this morning, and decided I was not getting up unless he sounded like he was in distress. Next thing I remember is him chatting/squawking at the much more reasonable hour of 6:30. I’m pretty sure he quieted down at 5:00 and went back to sleep, but early-morning cognitive function for me is a little fuzzy. Either way, we started the day at 6:30 this morning, which makes me feel 100 times better. Hooray!
Because New England likes to kick you in the ass just as soon as you’re starting to get hopeful, it’s about 38 degrees with a predicted “wintry mix” all day today. Awesome. Some day it will be spring, so they tell me.
On the plus side, we start our sign language class tomorrow! Hooray for an outing for all four of us. I hope we all enjoy it. My kids will likely be the youngest in the class (stated age range is 8-24 months, my kids will be 8 months next week), but I’m hoping it skews toward the younger end of the range and it’s not a bunch of almost-2-year-olds. We shall see…

I am glad you got to “sleep in”. I have to admit 6:30 would still kick my butt. Thankfully 7:30 is my early bird child and 8 for the other so I compromise and get bottles ready so my sleepy boy can rest a bit more. Anyways, Michigan was almost 50 on Wed. and has snowed for the past two days. Where is Spring for goodness sakes???? Have a great day at sign language tomorrow.
Glad that you were able to get up at a more reasonable hour today.
As far as the weather is concerned, I just tell myself that, with the exception of last year (we were in Chicago), the ground is always unfrozen enough to be able to plant my flowers on Memorial Day weekend. I just keep that in the back of my mind as I put on my puffy jacket, hat and gloves to treak to work in 14 degrees when the sun is blaring and you’d think it was spring!
“Wintry Mix” though. Yuck!
I am glad that the Daniel slept longer this morning! 6:30 sounds awesome. Jack gets up around 5 a.m. for his bottle, then goes back to bed, but I’d love for that bottle to be a BIT later!
Have fun at sign class! Let us know how it goes (I’m sure you will
).
Also, I was going to say about the 4:45 a.m. wake-ups: We’ve had a few of those, and for us it really seems to be linked to teething, the arrival of a developmental milestone (or the almost-arrival) or a growth spurt. Since the twins seem to be back on track now, I’ll bet it was one of those reasons! Or maybe our kids just like to mess with us.
