I’m weird. I kind of like memes. I don’t know why, though I think it’s related to the fact that as a child, I always wanted to be “interviewed.” Maybe I just wanted to feel like someone thought I was so interesting that they wanted to ask me more questions? Eh, who knows.
Anyways, Snickollet (not a huge meme fan) tagged everyone by tagging no one today, so I figured I’d jump on that bandwagon. Here goes, a meme in 4′s…
*edited, I forgot one!*
Four jobs I’ve had
- Ice cream scooper and barista
- Escort! (we drove people on and off campus between 8pm and 2am)
- High school guidance counselor
- College admissions counselor
Four movies I could watch over and over
- The Birdcage
- Austin Powers, the Spy Who Shagged Me
- When Harry Met Sally…
- Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (the book is still better, though…)
Four places I have lived
- Washington, DC
- Glencoe, IL
- Northfield, MN
- Somerville, MA
Four TV shows I like
- Top Chef
- Project Runway
- Cash Cab
- What Not to Wear (Can someone nominate me, please? I’m only half-joking.)
Four favorite foods
- Sushi
- Ice cream
- Cookies
- Bratwurst (cooked in beer before you finish them on the grill, of course)
Four places I would rather be (I’m not sure I’d rather be there, but places I like to be…)
- Chicago
- Skiing in the rockies
- Disneyworld
- Ireland (never been)
Four people I’m tagging

I rose to the challenge!
I always thought it would be fun to do that TLC makeover show with my sisters for our 30th birthday or something. But we never got our act together. Lately What Not To Wear is only people with outrageous clothes/personalities. I like it better when they are more “normal”.
Yay! Thanks for tagging me. I always feel this secret thrill when tagged … like, “Someone wants to know these things about me?!” (Of course, since I am sharing this thrill with you, it’s not so secret anymore!)
I also like What Not to Wear. I always kind of feel bad for the subjects, though, when they’re surrounded by their friends and family in the beginning, who are all bemoaning the poor person’s clothing. However, it would be nice to have a $5,000 shopping spree!
Done.
And had similar thoughts as Beverly – someone cares! LOL
I am going to do this in my blog today because my brain is so distracted by other things I can’t think right now!! If you knew me you would have tagged me, so I’m pretending.
I just wanted to let you know I love reading your blog every day!!
Glencoe! Did you happen to go to New Trier?
That is the only, ONLY way to make and eat a brat, in my humble opinion. I’m partial to the white brat myself, but that’s my German side coming out.
Heck no, boo Trevians!
I did not actually grow up in Glencoe, just lived there briefly when I was about 5.
Memes. They remind me of that old Shake and Bake (pre-Talledega Nights) commercial: “I like doing them, I like reading them!”
LOVE that you were an “escort!” [once I won an award from NAMPA, the National Association of Mature Publishers of America…sounds comparably scandalous, but the “mature publishers” produce magazines for the senior set.
)
Me neither, I’m more Northwest suburb than North Shore; a lot of my college friends were from NT though.
Love reading your blog, your kiddos are similar to mine in size (my girl is petite, shall we say) and a few months older, so I like than I can kind of get a preview of what to expect!
