My son used to act like I was killing him too, but it has gotten better. He really doesn’t like strangers to be close to him so I always cut his hair. I am getting better at it – I use rounded end nail scissors after the bath and my husband distracts him with a book. As long as I avoid the temptation to take too much off, it looks fine. So don’t give up yet! It just takes a bit of practice. IMHO most kid cuts look like crap anyway since even the pros can’t work well on a moving harget, so I figure I should just save the $.

Now if only I could figure out how to cut his nails…. He yells for his Daddy to save him and it breaks my heart.

that's SO bad! poor daniel. although, i have to admit that i am the sole beautician when it comes to the boys. i've cut their hair about 5 times now, and so far (cross my fingers) the cuts have come out great. i attempted a "skater" cut last time, but it looked more preppy than anything. maybe i have a new calling? tracey´s last blog post..superhero sunday

Wow, I can’t believe you got that far! My boys grow hair like weeds, so believe me when I say I’ve felt the urge to cut it myself. But I only tried it once, and never succeeded in cutting a single lock the ridiculousness was so amazing.

Of course, I have mini-panic attacks now thinking of taking them to the salon since they act insane there (it’s finally getting better at 3 years, but I’ve been scarred for life). But at least their hair comes out looking cute! Worth the price of admission

oh my gosh, this post could not have come at a better time! james needs a haircut and i was just thinking to myself this morning that i could do it! even though my past experiences with scissors have left me with bangs that are about a half of an inch long and a trim that inevitably took about 8 inches off of my hair... i love that first picture...what a cute pout! rachael´s last blog post..happy 16 months peaches!!!
