I’m joining in today with the party over at Who Says 8 is Enough? for Baby Picture Sunday! This week’s theme is “Bundled Up.” No shortage of opportunities here in chilly, snowy New England.
The first time we put them in the complete set of coat, snowpants, hats, gloves, and boots…. they were not exactly thrilled. Actually, you would have thought there were hot pokers inside each item, stabbing them. Clearly, they felt like they couldn’t move with all that stuffing around them, and the boots just threw them off.
That was during our trip to Chicago, and thankfully, they’ve gotten over their boots-and-snowpants phobia. In fact, sometimes they now bring them to me and request to put them on. Last weekend, right before I left for DC, I was feeling particularly shut-in. It had been really cold the previous few days, and though it was snowing somewhat heavily, it was finally not as arctic and the wind had died down. We needed to get out of the house, and even though M thought I was bonkers, I bundled them up and went into the yard, with all 6-8 inches of snow.
OK, so they couldn’t exactly walk since the snow was up to their knees. But we sought refuge in the playhouse (I’m glad I never got around to putting it away in the garage for the winter!), and got a bit of fresh air out in the snow.
HOLY cow! That is a LOT of snow! WOW! (I am jealous)

I know I am not suppose to envy. But there is all that snow and I have none. And the boys playhouse… I want one and would be out there hanging flower wreaths and trowing down rag rugs and holding tea parties in my little brick cottage. Great photos!

OMG, Liz, so cute. I summoned my mom over to look at these because they’re so adorable. I love the bundled-up look, and I especially love the play house all frosted with snow. I’m glad you never put it away, too!

Oh that first picture had me laughing out loud at my desk! They look so miserable! My son has taken to running away from me everytime I pull out his coat & hat. I have to sneak up on him.
