I’m going!
I’ve only been thinking about it for two months, but I finally decided.
I’m going to the inauguration! By myself!
I don’t actually have tickets to any events. My dad was only able to get two tickets, for himself and my stepmom. But I’m excited just to be there, and to have a solo adventure. Turns out M has that Monday (MLK day) off from work, and my sister-in-law is able to come and take care of the kids on Tuesday. I’ll be gone Sunday morning to Tuesday evening. Wahoo!

Ohmygosh! I am so, so excited for you! Please take me along in spirit. I am taking that day off from work and will be watching, via the TV, and probably drinking a little celebatory champagne. I am just so stinkin’ happy W is leaving, I almost can’t breath…

Good for you! We live in the metro DC area, and it is such an exciting time around here. My husband will be going to the inauguration (he works in DC so his work is closed for the day, but I don’t have work off). I’m more than a bit jealous.
All I can say is, make your transportation and lodging arrangements ASAP!
