Makes My Monday – Rice Box
Joining in with Cheryl’ s Makes My Monday! This morning, the kiddos requested some time with the rice box – an indoor “toy” I made several months ago that seems to be enjoying a resurgence in interest. Wrote about it for HDYDI today, too. Multi-purpose! Entertains the kids, and makes for TWO blog posts! Yeah!
I actually have not been neglecting my blog all weekend… it’s just that the things I’m doing haven’t been visible. Going through old posts, updating links (especially the ones that reference my own archives – half of them still pointed to blogspot, and the rest to the old WordPress site…), getting all the photos on Flickr. Tedious and boring, yet strangely satisfying.

I put non-swallowable (is that a word? Probably not) items in the rice box for the kidlet to find. That will hold her attention for an extra minute or so…
She likes to help me vacuum, so we add that activity onto the rice box when we finish. Nothing like a little child labor to make up for all those nights of interrupted sleep

Oooh, rice box! I am so stealing that idea. I swear, all of my “good mommy” moments come courtesy of other moms.

I love your blog and usually click over from the HDYDI site. Since you are updating links, can you update the one on that site, which still goes to your old wordpress blog? I am obviously just lazy, but would love to click once to get here instead of twice!! Thanks for your great writing!
