His work here is done
M is one proud father right now. There are certain things daddies want to accomplish with their kids (aside from keeping their daughters off the pole). And while M isn’t exactly the athletic, teach-em-to-throw-a-football type, he certainly has goals for what he wants to pass along to his children. This weekend, he managed a new favorite, and claims his work is now done.
I love that Daniel adds an “L” to his “arrrrgh!” And, just like his dad, he cracks himself up.
On a related note, anyone have a recommendation for good pirate books for young toddlers? M really wants to capitalize on this one…

Cute! We have been talking about pirates a lot in our house lately. “Pirates don’t change diapers” is really funny! It is a sequel to “How I Became a Pirate” by Melinda Long, illustrated by David Shannon (of “No David!” fame, another good one).
Enjoy!

Cute! I’m the one in our house who teaches the kids stuff like “I pity the fool!” and “Obama rules!”
My boys like the Backyardigans episode about pirates. There’s a great song “A pirate, a pirate, a pirate says ARGH”

Love it!
We’re always teaching the kids funny (me), cute (me) and inappropriate (Brook) things. Brook taught them to grunt when asked, “what does poop sound like?”, where as I taught them to say “boooooooooo” during a certain someone’s VP candidate speech.
