I definitely see a difference – she looks great! I hear ya on the price – my boys are 14 months, getting the mullet look (which I HATE also), but my DH keeps pushing back the haircut b/c he finds it outrageous to pay such a price for a few snips. I’m threatening to go without him.

She looks really cute. I agree about the bangs but honestly will probably just give them to Penny to start off. I'm already trying to "tame" her hair by constantly parting it and it still falls forward - I can see the same problem as you have with Rebecca. My sisters and I have lots of bad memories about mom cutting our bangs (oops! oops! so short...) but frankly it didn't scare us that much and gives us good mom torture material. There must have been something in the air!

I have two objections to bangs on Rebecca, one being more generic and one being more specific.

The generic objection is that I hate the maintenance that bangs require. And as someone who had bangs, I also hate the process of growing them out. So until she’s old enough to request them, I am going to avoid making that call myself. I could change my tune at some point, but right now I am anti-bangs.

The specific objection with Rebecca’s hair is that all of the hair in her face right now is coming from way back on her scalp, growing forward. As both my hairdresser and the woman at the salon pointed out today, her hairline really hasn’t grown in yet, so the “bangs” that you’d cut aren’t really “bangs” kind of hair. If that makes sense. So they’d be bangs that went all the way to the back of her head.

Anyways, maybe I was just scarred from having bangs all through high school, and doing a terrible job of trimming them.

she looks darling! why no bangs though? i came home with abel to find ozzy sitting on j's lap, cars on the TV and the clippers doing a number. oz was just sitting there being as still as he could. amazing! abel was curious, so we bribed him with a cookie and he let me cut his hair, too! i won't say it's the best job i've ever done, but man that kid needed a cut. and he was a freak about us cutting it until today. looks like we all won this weekend! tracey´s last blog post..1, 2, 3, 4, 5...6, 7, 8, 9, 10...11, twe-eh-el-el-twel-el-elve!

I think it looks GREAT! 17.99 might be because it was first haircut? Generally we pay much less than that at Snipits... although we also paid for the haircut coupon booklet and we've gone enough times to get free haircuts.
