This bodes well

By Goddess in Progress ·   May 25th, 2009

I am beyond excited.  M’s parents arrive later this week, and are taking care of the kids for the weekend while M and I run away.  AWAY!  We’re driving up to Maine and staying at a hotel and spa that probably costs too much but I don’t care one little bit.

Our plan for Saturday is that M will sleep until lunchtime, and I’ll take the morning and hang at the spa.  I called today to book appointments for a massage and a pedicure. (Oooh, I’m excited just typing it.)  For one thing, the person who answered the direct hotel line did the booking for me, no “press 2″ here or “please hold” there.  Just done.  Excellent, checked that off the list.  But a few minutes later, my phone rang and I saw the caller ID of the hotel.  It was the same person.  She said she’d been thinking about it, and wanted me to have more time after my massage to take a shower and relax before my pedicure, so she pushed the pedicure appointment back by 15 minutes.

This is going to be a lovely weekend.

Sounds luxurious–have fun! Emilia is also looking forward to spending a few days with grandma and grandpa…I just wish I was spending the time getting pampered as opposed to giving birth (not that I’m not excited for another kid, but hey, I’d take a massage over the pain/exhaustion of childbirth any day).

    Sounds delicious, period.

I have already vowed that my birthday is the limit for me to go out for dinner. The girls will be 8 months, it’s July, somebody will be on vacation and ready to watch them.

OH. MY. GOD. Words cannot describe how happy I am for you and also how jealous I am. First, I am in LOVE with Maine. I used to go up there at least four times a year and have wanted to move up that way forever. But since all the fertility stuff and subsequent babies I haven’t been there since 2004. Where are you going?????? Oh – you are so so so lucky. It will be total BLISS! ENJOY – YOU DESERVE IT!!!!! :-)
