Thursday Theater – 30-second Rule

By Goddess in Progress ·   May 14th, 2009

Welcome to Thursday Theater! Please, add your link to Mr. Linky (below) and play along! Last week I left you with a short-and-sweet challenge: make your clip 30 seconds or less.

Of course, it was supposed to be an editing challenge, and I was all over it.  And then a perfect 27-second clip fell into my lap and I couldn’t pass it up. I hereby mock myself.

The kids like to request songs while they’re in the tub.  And if they start demanding “bunny” or “hop-hop,” what they’re asking for is “Little Bunny Foo-Foo.”  M sings it for them, along with accompanying hand gestures.  And Rebecca, well, she picked them right up.

And for those of you who have trouble grabbing the video camera before the moment passes, I assure you she requested the song SO MANY times the other night, I had sufficient time to think it was funny, remember I wanted the video camera, run downstairs and get it, and get back up to the bathroom and catch it.  As you can see, she wasn’t done yet…

For next week, no particular theme. Just post whatever makes you happy! Freestyle!

My daughter loves that song, but I’d forgotten about the second verse, which is very necessary. Without it, Emilia and I both thought the song was pretty “naughty,” so we’d ammended it by giving Bunny Foo Foo a time out, then adding verses about giving the field mice hugs and kisses and playing Ring-Around-the-Rosie with them. So thanks to M for teaching us another way!

I’m dying of the cuteness. I totally have a problem by the time the last field mouse chance is gone – the rhyming never worked for me. I haven’t sang that one in a while so you’ve inspired me to do so tonight.

That was so adorable!! My mom sang that song with us all the time when we were little. Now if I could only get my husband to sing.
