Guess it’s time for a costume box
A few days ago, we got a little care package in the mail from my mom. I suspect she was at Babies R Us, shopping for my sister-in-law’s baby shower, and couldn’t help herself. The items were, to say the very least, a big hit.
Daniel adores his (it’s actually a set of Superman pajamas), and though he completely soaked the shirt at lunchtime, insisted on wearing the cape again after nap, so I ended up safety-pinning it to another shirt. Rebecca had to be coaxed out of her “spinning dress” for nap, and asked to put it back on again within 30 seconds of waking up (though neither time did she want to remove her other clothes to put it on – it’s a onesie with attached skirt). There was a major bedtime tantrum when she had to take it off for the night.
I honestly wasn’t sure if my kids were old enough for dress-up, yet, but I guess the answer is YES! Rebecca and I went to Joann’s today and got some fabric to make a cape for her, too. I suspect there’s some elastic and tulle in my future as well…

Oh my goodness, that’s not adorable at all! LOL
Logan loves playing dress up with Burke and Maggie. He answered the door in his elephant outfit the other day and nearly melted the EI lady’s heart

Ned and Penny have fairy wings, skirts, sunglasses and hats and they will wear them (and preen) so I definitely think your kids aren’t too young!

How cute! We’ve already got dress-up clothes on the upcoming birthday wish list. My guys really love hats and sun glasses too. I think they’d love adding a few pretend play outfits into the mix.

Dress up is so much fun. My daughters received a box of Disney princess dresses for their 2nd birthday… this past Christmas they received ballerina outfits and leotards, which they wore all day!

we have a wall, A WALL, of costumes ranging from elephants to Peter Pan to firefighters. My older one has been dressing up since he was 2. It’s great for cold/rainy days!

Awesome! I’ve never tried dress-up with Jack, although I know he enjoys it at school. Something to think about! What cute pics — I’m especially oooh-ing over Becca in her “spinning dress.”
