32 degrees outside?  Can’t get hand into mitten properly?  No problem!  Let’s go on the tire swing!

Also, the minivan is apparently a great impromptu playspace.  Hey, at least we could turn on some music and get out of the wind.

It’s getting chilly here in New England (yes, Tara and Carrie, it’s no MN or AK…), but that does not deter my kids.  They are determined to squeeze every last bit of outside time that they can.  Doesn’t matter that it was 35 degrees yesterday and their little noses were bright red.  Doesn’t matter that it gets dark out much earlier.  So, as long as it isn’t raining or otherwise completely crappy out, we’re still playing in the yard.  (And the landscaping people still haven’t come to take my leaves… hrmph.)

I think we also found a limit: for extended time outside, I think the limit of those nice fleece hoodies from LL Bean is right around the low-to-mid 30s.  Next time, I’ll bust out the warmer jackets I just got from Old Navy.  In the meantime, here’s what the fleece-encased bundles looked like yesterday.  The static when they went down the plastic slide was spectacular.
